Here's What Others Say...

"Candice truly is and has a gift from God"! In 1 week of movement lessons and instruction from Candice, now over 6 weeks ago, I have been able to avoid all forms of medical treatment for my back. I am much more aware of my posture, lifting and movement of my entire body. Before I saw Candice my body was so stiff and tight I couldn't get comfortable while sleeping. My body is so much more fluid now I am comfortable doing so many things I thought were gone to old age.

Praise God!

Thank you Candice you made a significant impact in my ability to stay active."

Hi there, I’m Candice.

After a challenging journey that began in my teens, I found myself battling intense pain and seeking answers from the medical field. I had trained hard as an athlete in dance and was very active as a youth. However, I encountered frustration while searching for answers, and that’s when I turned to holistic methods. With the support of natural doctors, I began to heal. I truly believe that had I discovered the NeuroHorizons® Experiential Movement® Learning method sooner, I wouldn't have experienced so much pain growing up, and my body has truly transformed. I spent countless hours researching and seeking help, yet I never found this method mentioned once during that time—I discovered it by "accident."

What really ignited my passion for this approach was the incredible story of my daughter’s best friend, who has cerebral palsy. Witnessing the miracles in his life inspired me to fully embrace this method. This child should not be able to do half of the things he can do. Watching him learn to swim, among other achievements, has been an incredible testament to this work.

The changes I experienced in my own life, along with the positive impact on my family and friends, have filled me with gratitude.

Witnessing firsthand the profound impact of this experiential movement has been incredible. It’s truly remarkable to see the real miracles that result from this work!

Now, I’m dedicated to sharing the profound benefits of this approach with others. I believe it has the power to change lives in remarkable ways, just as it changed mine and those around me. I’m absolutely thrilled because every time I learn something new through this work and witness its transformative power in my life, I see the ripple effect it creates for others. This fills me with genuine joy! This is how NeuroJoy in Movement came to life! So, if you’re ready to discover how movement can unlock your potential and transform your life, let’s dive in together.

"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars" (Preacher Norman Vincent Peale), meaning that even if you don't achieve your most ambitious goal, you will still reach a high level of success by aiming for the highest possible standard. So, embrace the unexpected, as it could mark the beginning of substantial transformation in your body.

Tired of Traditional Methods That Don’t Deliver?

As an athlete or performer, you've probably tried numerous training methods in search of the right fit. But despite your efforts, the results can still feel frustrating or limited.

Here’s some common approaches you might have explored:

  • Traditional Physical Therapy:Focused on strength and mobility, but often repetitive and may not tap into the brain’s potential for change.
  • Sports Rehabilitation:Aims to aid recovery, but may overlook the powerful connection between movement and neurological development.
  • Strength Training:Enhances physical power but doesn't always incorporate movement techniques that could amplify overall performance.
  • Conventional Coaching:Focuses on technique improvement, but can be intense without addressing the essential role of brain engagement in physical movement.

NeuroHorizons® Experiential Movement®

By engaging in these practices, athletes activate their brain’s native capacity for neuroplasticity—allowing them to overcome movement barriers, reduce pain, improve flexibility, and enhance performance.

No matter the physical challenge, athletes are always capable of creating new “neural maps” and movement strategies. These new patterns gradually replace old habits and ineffective movement techniques, leading to improved functionality and overall athletic performance.

Through Experiential Movement Lessons, I engage with your nervous system via sensory and kinesthetic experiences. I guide you to explore new movement possibilities that allow your brain to reorganize itself, leading to the development of new neural connections and more effective motor skills.

I am a 2024 Graduate of the NeuroHorizons® Fundamentals of Experiential Movement® Seminar Program, and an Experiential Movement® Mentor. www.NeuroHorizons.us.

I was trained by Master Teacher Sylvia Leiner Shordike, author of The NeuroHorizons Primer: Empower Yourself to Empower the Child With Special Needs (2020). Sylvia is the founder of the NeuroHorizons® programs, is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner®, and was formerly a long-time Practitioner and Trainer for Anat Baniel in California. Our approach and learned skills from master teacher Sylvia Shordike NeuroHorizons® Experiential Movement® is a focused interpretation and synthesis of the original teachings of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais. This method is transformative for athletes facing a variety of movement-related challenges, including recovery from injuries, performance optimization, and overcoming movement limitations.

As a NeuroHorizons® Experiential Movement® Mentor, I offer personalized Experiential Movement Lessons for athletes dealing with a wide range of injuries, chronic pain, performance plateaus, and neurological issues.

These lessons consist of gentle yet purposeful movement sequences that help athletes develop greater awareness of their bodies, particularly the interconnectedness of muscle groups and functional movement patterns.
